September 6, 1975 - Derrek Leon Lee or “D-Lee”, is a Major League Baseball first baseman who is currently a free agent. A two-time All-Star first baseman, Derrek Lee played for the San Diego Padres, Florida Marlins, Chicago Cubs, Atlanta Braves, Baltimore Orioles and Pittsburgh Pirates from 1997 to 2011. Lee was a three-time Gold Glove Award winner, and he captured the 2005 National League batting title while with the Cubs. Lee was a member of the Marlins’ 2003 World Series championship team.
